New eBook Platform

Are you ready for the easiest way to get a book ever?! I didn't think so, but we're diving right in anyway!

MackinVIA is a new online eResource platform the media center is rolling out in the coming weeks. It is a place for you to check-out books for fun as well as access books that teachers have assigned for reading.

How do I use it?

Visit MackinVIA and use your school Google account to login. Once you login, you'll be taken to your Backpack's homepage. This is where you can search for eBooks to check out as well as access the eBooks assigned to you.

When you find a book you like, just move your mouse over the cover image to either read it right away or check it out. You can also heart a book to add to your favorites so you can find it later to check-out.

All check-outs are for 3 weeks.

When you open a book to read, you have several options available to you. You can turn on text-to-speech to be read to. You can also take notes in some of the books, which is very helpful for keeping up with information for class. Font sizes can also be changed once you open a book.

DID I MENTION?!!?!? There's an app for it so you can always have your favorite book (or assigned book) with you no matter where you go. Simple search for "MackinVIA" in your phone's app store to download.
